Hello! I'm Ben, a dedicated adventurer and lover of the great outdoors, based in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah.

Background

I was raised on the Delmarva Peninsula and moved to Florida in 2010 to pursue a degree in business. For the past decade, I've been deeply involved with the vibrant and skilled artisan community of Bali, Indonesia.

My yearly visits to the island have been a constant source of inspiration and connection. In addition to my passion for travel and exploration, I'm committed to making a positive impact in the world.

I recently got married on May 15, 2024, and my wife is an incredibly talented artist- check out her work!

Wanderer Bracelets (2014-2021)

In 2014, I traveled to Bali to explore furniture design. During my time there, I was captivated by the exceptional craftsmanship of local artisans who create handmade goods in small villages. I met a carver named Made, and we worked together to create a jewelry business that allowed him to employ 150 people in his village.

From founding Wanderer Bracelets on Kickstarter in 2014 through its acquisition in 2021, we sold tens of thousands of handmade pieces via e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channels. We proudly never made a single item in China; everything was produced by artisans using local materials in a village in Bali.

Handmade in Bali Inc: Design Methodology

At my new business, I am captivated by the intersection of natural and sustainable materials, artisanal craftsmanship, and elevated design. My design methodology focuses on creating meaningful products that resonate with consumers on a personal level, beyond the narrative of social good. By blending traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics, I aim to craft pieces that are not only beautiful but also deeply significant to those who choose them.
